About

Hi, I’m Jack. I’m a composer, sound designer, theatre-maker & facilitator based in Bristol, UK.

When working as a composer/sound designer, my aim is to create a sound world which works symbiotically with the rest of the show to tell an evocative and captivating story - this is most often found and experimented with in the rehearsal room in close collaboration with other artists, leading to a soundtrack that has come from an organic and collaborative place.

I’m very lucky to have had a wide range of experience, including writing for and leading live musicians as a musical director, single-handedly creating fully-digital soundtracks & working on shows which have blended live and pre-recorded elements.

I have worked as an actor-musician in a number of touring shows, for companies such as the Wardrobe Ensemble and New International Encounter, and I’ve also worked as a solo musician/composer for improv shows & for more traditional theatre shows (see pic on right of Romeo & Juliet).

To date, I have been the composer for 2 short films, one of which was the winner of the Exeter 48 Hour Film Challenge 2025.

As well as a background in faciliatation & engagement work, I’ve worked as a creative on a large number of shows made with young people & community groups, as well as many shows for young audiences.
